The March Stamp of the Month is one of my favorites yet! Sensational Season includes several bunnies and a very precious phrase. I cut this bag from Cricut's Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. The bunny is stamped on Close To My Heart's colonial white cardstock and colored in with CTMH colored pencils in oak brown, robin egg blue, apricot and goldrush. The bunny is matted with paper from the Twitterpated paper pack. The chocolate ribbon added the perfect finishing touch. So simple and so very cute!

My upline, Ruth Simmons, hosted an open house today to introduce some new product from Close To My Heart's Spring/Summer 2011 Idea Book. We played with papers from the new Sweetheart and Fanfare collections. She also taught us an ink spraying technique using CTMH's new spray pen utilizing Re-Inker. It was a lot of fun. Thanks Ruth for opening up your home and sharing your talent with us!

My Creations Banner

I enjoyed working on this project. The banner is Close To My Heart's My Creation Banner. The kit includes 8 white chip-board pennants along with 7 jump rings. The pennants are 7" x 6". Price of the kit is only $5.95. I decorated by pennants with papers by Basic Gray. The embellishments were cut with my Cricut along with the letters. Instead of using the metal jump rings I strung my pennants with brown ribbon. Close To My Heart's My Creations line offers a lot of fun items from mini albums, to journals, to board books, to a recipe/photo box, and much more, all to be decorated and personalized by you.

Family

I was so excited to receive my CTMH order this morning knowing it would contain the "Wings" workshop kit. I was even more excited when I opened the package and I saw the awesome colors the pack contained. I immediately went to work scrapping family pictures taken at Christmas. I have to say, "I love, love, love this paper pack!" I also utilized CTMH's new Bohemian Alphabet for my title (which is stamped in Vineyard Berry). Very fun!

Page 2 "Perfect Day" layout

When I am lacking creative energy I often refer to layout ideas to get the ball rolling. The layout ideas can come from several resources. This is actually page 1 of a 2 page layout. While the photos were taken at Christmas I really wanted to focus on the "family" concept so I steered away from Christmas papers. "Perfect Day" is a retired pack from CTMH and had a great feel for family. I also utilized the "Perfect Day" My Stickease to help with my title and embellishments.

I took a couple of "mental health" days and decided to complete some pages because after all, "scrapbooking is cheaper than therapy"! This page was literally thrown together in a matter of minutes with the help of Close To My Heart's level 1 paper and My Stickease. This pattern is from the "You Rock" paperpack.

January 2011

So onto the exciting news......the new Spring/Summer bi-annual Idea Book is here!! Basically, two books have been combined into one. Introducing 8 new paper packs instead of only 4 and much much more. I am thrilled with the publication and believe that you will be too.
