Happy Fall y'all! I can't believe it's already October. As much as I was dreading summer coming to an end I have to say I am thoroughly enjoying the wonderful fall weather we have been having. There are a couple of things I truly enjoy about the shorter days. The early darkness gives me an opportunity to enjoy a few of my favorite hobbies, one of those being reading. During the busy, long days of summer I barely get anything read. With the shorter days upon us I have found myself diving back into my reading list and getting some of those books long awaiting my attention crossed off my list. One of the most recent reads I finished was "Marley and Me". Of course, everyone is familiar with this renowned tale of the special place a rambunctious, misbehaved lab found in the hearts of his family. After reading the story, which by the way left me crying for 30 minutes, I turned my attention to my two four-year old golden retrievers. I realized that these four-legged critters have such a special place with our family and I couldn't honestly remember the last time I had photographed either one of them. Thanks to inspiration from John Grogan I will make sure the two, very hairy, members of my family find a special place in my scrapbooks.
